Salvaging the old

I found this amazing cow plate from the early 1900s. There was about a 3 inch chunk off the corner. The picture was in mint condition, so how do I keep the plate and salvage it? Here was my solution.

1. Hot glue gun
2. Card stock cut to cover the chip and be able to support the doilies
3. Crochet doilies, buttons, vintage earrings, beads, ribbon, your choice .
